教育・研究に関する考え方

真の国際人とは、高い語学力を持ち、他国のみならず自国の文化を踏まえた意見を持つ者と考え、実用目的のみの教育とならぬように心掛けている。研究の出発点は色彩語greenの通時的な意味変化であり、これまで近代英語期以降の大衆文学における言語特性の特定を目的とし、研究を進めてきた。現在の興味･関心は、18世紀英語における形容詞句構造とその史的発達である。
